How to Prepare to Make a Right Turn

Preparing for a right turn.

1. If there is no signal or stop sign, find a 6-8 second gap in traffic to your left.
2. Look through the turn along your intended path once you pass the point where the curb begins to curve. Use h as well as over h as well as or push/pull.
3. Follow the general curve of the curb as you turn; you must reduce speed, but do not stop unless you have to.
4. Reverse car steering as well as make sure turn signal is off.
