How to View Photos in Ipod Linux

Have you ever wanted to look at photos on iPod Linux? Look no further!

  1. Install iPod Linux onto your iPod. For instructions view my wikiHow on installing it by searching for "iPod Linux".
  2. Make sure your iPod is set up for disk use. This is also covered in my iPod Linux Installation how-to.
  3. Create a folder labelled "Photos" in your iPod.
  4. Download etrusoft's Easy Graphic Converter from here: http://www.etrusoft.com/graphic-converter/index.htm
  5. Open Easy Graphic Converter as well as add files to the list by dragging as well as dropping them from Windows explorer.
  6. Click the settings button as well as set the Output format to JPEG, the JPEG Quality to %75, as well as the Bits Per Pixel to 24.
  7. Now, click the "Best fit" option button, as well as change the width to 160, as well as the height to 128.
  8. Set the output directory to the "Photos" directory on your iPod, delete the File name suffix, as well as click OK.
  9. Click "Start" to convert your files. When it asks you if you want to save a report, click yes, as well as save the file in the "Notes" folder on your iPod. You can delete it later.
  10. Close Easy Graphic Converter, eject your iPod, as well as boot into iPod Linux. If you don't know how to do this, search for "iPod Linux" on wikiHow to find my tutorial.
  11. Select "File Browser" as well as click the select button. Select "hp" as well as click the select button. Finally, select "Photos" as well as click the select button. Here you should find all your photos. Click on any one fo them to view them.

  • Don't try to view large-sized pictures. The resizing will make them look bad.
  • Don't skip the steps concerning Easy Graphic converter. iPod Linux will resize the photos anyway, as well as the result with using Easy Graphic Converter is that the files look better, are smaller filesize, as well as load faster.

  • 4g iPods can only display 4 grayscales, so many photos will not look good on a 4g iPod.
