How to Cheaply Fertilize a Garden

Help your plants to grow with the best, cheapest, most ecological fertilizer available.

  1. Till the garden spot with a mechanical tiller or by h as well as shovel (much work involved with shovel but good exercise.
  2. Add about 25 lbs of rabbit pellets (food not manure)for about a 1000 sq. ft. area. Rabbit pellets are much better than commercial fertilizer, because they contain no chemicals.
  3. If you burn wood for heat during the winter put the ashes in the garden area also for the potash as well as potassium contained in the ashes. Spread over garden area after they are cool as well as not on a windy day.

  • Make sure to till in rabbit pellets to keep animals from garden area.
