How to Faux Finish a Wall for a Spanish, Mediterranean, or Southwestern Look

I am currently trying to faux finish one of my bathrooms. Here's what I have done so far (it looks great):

  1. Remove wallpaper.
  2. Apply primer on walls.
  3. Use a mixture called Behr Premium Plus Interior Texture Paint (from Lowe's), which is basically "goop" that you slather on your walls with whatever object as well as in any direction that you want. It's great stuff!
  4. Apply Sherwin Williams Chivalry Copper with a brush. I painted over the texture very thinly, letting white show through here as well as there.
  5. To lighten the color a little, find a glaze to paint over the entire wall.

  • Take your time.
