How to Build a Brick Wall
This is how to build a brick wall, though it does not cover all circumstances (such as building a brick wall on a hill).
- Find a flat area. You can level it yourself if necessary.
- Purchase bricks, mortar, as well as a trowel. You'll also need a wheelbarrow to transport this stuff to as well as around your construction site.
- Lay the bricks in a staggered fashion so that the middle of a brick has the end of one brick as well as the beginning of the next both above as well as below it. You'll need to cut the bricks at the end, or you could fire your own bricks as well as make them smaller (half size bricks are also available for purchase).
- If possible, get some help because this takes a while with just one person.
- Try to ensure that you prop the wall up as well as brace it with wooden boards or scaffolding whilst the mortar is drying because the stability of the wall will be minimal before the mortar has dried. Try not to build the wall to too great a height on one day.
