How to Change a Digital Picture from Color to Black & White
It's a simple step to turn a color digital photo to black as well as white using photoshop!
- Open Photoshop on your PC. If you don't have a version of Photoshop, you can download a free trial version from the Adobe website.
- Open the photo you wish to modify in Photoshop.
- In Photoshop, go to the image menu, adjust sub-menu, as well as select desaturate.
- In Photoshop Elements, go to the Enhance menu, Adjust Color sub-menu, as well as select Remove Color.
- If neither of these options are available in your software, look for a toolbox to adjust "hue/saturation" as well as drag the slider for saturation all the way to the left.
- The exact menu structure may be different in various versions of photoshop (LE, Elements, or the main version) but this action should be possible in all.
- Save the modified photo in a separate file. If you save it in the same file name, you will lose the color version forever.
